Course Overview:

For Basic Life Support (BLS) The American Heart Association’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Course Overview:

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course equips participants with the essential skills to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies with confidence. The training covers care techniques for adults, children, and infants in various emergency situations—both at home and in the workplace.

You’ll Learn How To:

  • Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • Safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Respond to choking emergencies in conscious and unconscious victims.
  • Provide first aid care for common medical, injury, and environmental emergencies.

Who Should Attend:
This course is perfect for:

  • Employees whose jobs require First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Caregivers, direct support staff, and teachers.

Certification:

Upon successful completion, participants receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED certification card the same day, valid for 2 years.

Need Only CPR or First Aid Training?
While we highly recommend completing the full Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course for the most comprehensive lifesaving preparation, we understand that some students may only need one portion of the training.
To better serve your needs, you may choose to attend either:

  • The CPR/AED session (first half), or
  • The First Aid session (second half).

Note: If you are enrolled in a nursing program or preparing to become an EMT, you are required to take the Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course. The Heartsaver® level course does not fulfill this requirement.

AHA BLS Blended Learning – Skills Session (Part 2 Only)

  • Certification: AHA BLS Provider eCard (valid 2 years)

Course Overview:

This AHA BLS Skills Session is the hands-on evaluation for students who have already completed Part 1 (HeartCode® BLS online course) through the American Heart Association (AHA).

After finishing the online cognitive portion, participants attend this Part 2 skills session to demonstrate CPR and AED competency under the guidance of an AHA-certified instructor at CPR Partner, LLC.

Certification:

This AHA Heartsaver® Skills Session is the hands-on evaluation portion (Part 2) for students who have already completed Part 1: the online Heartsaver® CPR AED and/or First Aid course through the American Heart Association (AHA).

In this short in-person session, participants will demonstrate the lifesaving skills they learned online, including CPR, AED use, and First Aid techniques, under the direct supervision of an AHA-certified instructor at CPR Partner, LLC.
